    2:00 pm.  Playmaker, a motivational speaking event, presents faith-based messages targetd at youth, parents, and oyuth workers.  Main speakers for this event include Gary Gaines, Bennie Wylie, Mike Copeland, and Spike Dykes.  Tickets are available at the door and are $15 for individuals and $10 for groups of 20 or more.

    Holladay on Film

    6:30 pm.  Paramount Film Director Robert Holladay continues his film lecture series with a discussion of the history and making of the film CASABLANCA.  The thirty minute lecture will be followed by a 30 minute break before the feature begins at 7:30 pm.  You must purchase a ticket to CASABLANCA to attend this lecture.  FIlm series individual tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for students, senior citizens (60+), military and children.  To order tickets online, click here.

    Children’s Performing Arts Series—Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre

    11:00 am and 7:00 pm.  The world famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre features a cast of jugglers, clowns, and more than 30 trained animals, including house cats, dogs, geese, doves, and parrots.  All animals have been rescued from animal shelters across the country.  TIckets range in proce from $8 to $13.50.  To purchase tickets for this event online, click here.

    Paramount Productions—Open Auditions for LES MISERABLES

     

    5:00 pm.  Paramount Productions holds open auditions for their June 2015 production of the hit Broadway musical LES MISERABLES.  To audition, prepare a song of your own choosing.  Please prepare the full song but tghe audition may be limited to one verse and chorus.  A accompanist will be provided.  PLEASE NOTE: audio playback will also be avilable, but you MUST bring a CD.  No cell ohones or other devices will be permitted.  The sign up for audition times will begin in the lobby of the theatre beginning at 12:30 pm.  For more information, contact the director, Barry Smoot, at bsmoot@paramount-abilene.org.
