    HOLLADAY ON FILM

     

    6:30 PM.  Paramount Film Director Robert Holladay continues his film lecture series with a discussion of the history and making of the film THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.  The thirty minute lecture will be followed by a 30 minute break before the feature begins at 7:30 pm.  You must purchase a ticket to PHANTOM OF THE OPERA to attend this lecture.  Film series individual tickets are $7 for adults and $6 for students, senior citizens (60+), military and children.  To order tickets online, click here.

    CHILDREN’S PERFORMING ARTS SERIES—PETE THE CAT

    2:00 PM.  The Abilene Cultural Affairs Council presents PETE THE CAT as part of their Children's Performing Arts Series.  This fun, family musical tells the story of Pete the Cat, who gets caught rocking out after bedtime.  When the cat-catcher sends him to live with the Biddle family to learn his manners, an adventure of friendship begins which takes him all the way to Paris and back in a VW Bus.  Tickets are reserved seating at $6 and $9 depending on location.  To get tickets to Pete the Cat, CLICK HERE.

    7:00 PM.  Paramount Productions and THE MILL Wine Bar and Event Venue join forces to present this live theatrical event in The Mill's interior space.  PETER AND THE STARCATCHER is a Tony Award-winning play with music and a hilarious and rollicking theatrcial event.  As a “prequel” to Peter Pan, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up.  The hilarious adventure that ensues features a dozen actors portraying more than 100 unforgettable characters.  With raucous humor (and plenty of heart) it playfully explores the depths of greed, and the bonds of friendship, duty and love.
