AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY
SEPTEMBER 15-16, 22-23, 2017
Paramount Productions is pleased to present the regional premiere of Tracy Lett’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY.
In this eye-opening, darkly comic masterpiece, Letts reveals the secrets of an American family defeated by its mistakes and avalanching toward its final disintegration. When the family patriarch vanishes, the Westons return to rural Oklahoma to care for their afflicted, manipulative mother. The family gathering turns into an epic exploration of how far apart they’ve grown and how dysfunctional their lives have become.
At once wildly comic and deeply moving, AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY is one of those truly revelatory works which uses razor sharp writing to explore what makes us vulnerable, what makes us human, and what leads us to forgiveness.
