    Paramount Film Series, “Nine”

    Children’s Performing Arts Series, “Greg Kennedy, Innovative Juggler”

    2:00 pm.  Critically acclaimed juggler Greg Kennedy brings his solo show to the Paramount as part of this exciting live performance series for children.  "Innovative Juggler" is a combination of high-ebergy juggling, comedy, and unique performance pieces.  All seats are $8.  For more information call the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council at (325) 677-1161.

    Posipalooza

    7:00 pm.  Unity Church of Christianity hosts this live concert event, featuring  "music that matters" from Posi Award Winning artists.  Headliners include Faith Rivera, Harold Payne, Sue K. Riley, and Richard Meldecki.  The opening acts include g6 and Gordon Cotten and Pam Six.  The concert is presented in memory of Rev. Karen Johnson, and to recognize the Abilene Police Deaprtment and local media and chureches.  All proceeds go to the Rev.     24fps International Short Film Festival

    7:00 pm.  FIRST NIGHT PROGRAM.  The Paramount's acclaimed 24fps International Short Film Festival opens with the first night exhibiion of competition films.  Ten short films from around the world (each 20 minutes or less) are screened in competition for cash awards.  The festival continues Saturday, November 6 (see calendar listing).  Tickets are $8, general admission.  A Festival Pass, which allows the holder access to all three festival progams, is available for $15.

    24fps International Short Film Festival

    2:00 pm.  AFTERNOON PROGRAM.  The Paramount's acclaimed 24fps International Short Film Festival continues with a matinee of family-friendly films.  Eight films from around the world (20 minutes or less) are screened in competitoin for cash prizes.  Tickets are $8, general admission.  A Festival Pass, which allows the holder access to all three festival progams, is available for $15.
