    Paramount Productions—A Texas Christmas Carol

7:30 pm.  Paramount Productions presents the final season of  "A Texas Christmas Carol," an original adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens story by Paramount Artistic Director Barry Smoot.  Set during the Great Depression of the 1930s, this new version of the story follows a group of tent revival performers as they make their way across the Texas countryside re-enacting the story of Scrooge and his famous visit by three ghosts on Christmas Eve.  The show features an ensemble cast of actors each playing multiple roles, assisted onstage by an alt/folk/bluegrass band that adds traditional and original music to the story.  This is certainly a funny, heartwarming, uplifting, and highly theatrical holiday event for the entrie family.  Directed by the author.  TIckets go on sale October 1, 2014.
